Developed by a company that goes by the slogan, “serious skin care for serious results”, FNS Nutrilash seemed a good choice for eyelash enhancement. Osmotics Cosmeceuticals has quite a good reputation and having used some of their products, my money was in them. FNS Nutrilash gives the impression that it is a company with a mission. It includes the Nutrilash in their hair care system composed of shampoo, conditioner, follicle nutrient serum and eyelash and eyebrow enhancer.
FNS Nutrilash is marketed as an eyelash conditioner and strengthening serum. It contains a lot of ingredients with the most active being folic and nicotinic acids, lactic acid, biotin and sodium bicarbonate. A 28 day supply is initially cheaper than other brands but because it is packaged individually in small one-time use tubes, continuous use proves more expensive. Some high end brands can cost as much as $160 but this can last for five months or more.
Anyhow, I did buy the 28 day supply for $42. The packaging was impressive with small spongy tubes for single use; it looked professional and reduced bacterial contamination. These tubes are pressed to allow its content to reach the tip of the sponge and the applied to lashes and brows. However, there were no appreciable results even after several weeks of use. Seeing that only a few tubes remain in the 28 day pack, I should already be able to get some results, at least, however minimal. Brows and eyelashes seemed shinier though but that’s all. If this is a lash enhancer, there may be some misunderstanding along the way.
There are pros and cons to this product but long, lush eyelashes couldn’t be included in its benefits.
FNS Nutrilash Advantages
- The 28 day pack is affordably priced and initially cheaper than most brands. It also allows users to get a smaller supply in the event that it doesn’t work for them.
- Its application system is more efficient, sterile and reduces bacterial contamination.
FNS Nutrilash Disadvantages
- It doesn’t work as expected. I don’t know with you but there’s more to a lash enhancer than just condition and moisturize lashes. If this is just it, maybe plain Petroleum jelly will give you the same results.
- The FNS website is stingy with clinical results; even product testimonials.
The FNS Nutrilash packaging is appreciable and you can see that it took some thinking to come up with the idea. One can only wish they devoted some time to ensure that it works as an eyelash growth enhancer. It is not as cheap as initially thought because you only get a 28 day use for $42 and there seems to be no effort to market the product as an eyelash enhancer that has great potential. It’s frustrating because it is made by a company with a great reputation for serious skin and hair care.
I wouldn’t recommend FNS Nutrilash for the simple reason that it doesn’t work, at least, for me. Regardless of the cute tubes and the affordable initial cost, it won’t give you what you’re looking for, so why go into the trouble?

Yes, it may show off some good results for what it’s marketing with, but that’s just the outer cover that you’re seeing because if you look into the hidden side of it, you’ll see that there are definitely negative side effects that are and can be brought by this product and they’re not even letting consumers know about this just to protect their sales!

When it comes to untried beauty products, the brand behind it often dictates one’s decision to make a purchase. Dermalash, made by DermQuest Skin Therapy Inc. has the advantage of being produced by one of the big names in the industry. Known for its innovations in beauty products, the name behind it certainly was a draw for me. Having used some DermQuest products, it was a natural move since those other products performed quite well. Though it was a little more expensive than other eyelash enhancing brands, a trusted name is hard to resist and the only way to see if it works was to give it a try.
Dermalash is actually a protective formula that promises to reverse the damage caused by the environment, cosmetic abuse and allergies that often results to brittle, sparse and thin eyelashes. Thinking that it is a good formula that would improve the pitiable condition and provide the lustrous ones I’ve been drooling over ever since, the decision was made to buy it.
There is one thing that makes it both a viable choice and at the same time, generates some doubts as to its efficacy and safety. It contains some plant extracts most people are not familiar with but are said to promote eyelash health and growth. This information was actually taken not from its official website but in some other sources which should have raised some doubts in the first place. Anyhow, there are advantages and disadvantages to it, as follows:
Advantages of Dermalash
- Product pricing is okay at $95 although you can find better formulations at a lower price
- Widely available both online and through retailers. Intriguingly, you can’t buy it from DermQuest’s official website though.
- Backed by DermQuest’s considerable experience in the beauty industry.
- Convenient and easy once a day application.
Disadvantages of Dermalash
- Dermquest’s official website offers no list of Dermalash’s ingredients. It is an unusual decision on their part since most consumers would like to get information straight from the manufacturer when making these types of purchases.
- There seems no supportive data as to its efficacy; no clinical studies or before and after photos, though this might be an oversight on my part.
- Dermalash is promoted to contain “Eyelashes Growth Promoter Complex” but again, there is no official information what it is exactly. For all we know, there might be some icky substances hiding behind the mysterious name.
Dermalash is recommended for use daily and results are said to be achieved within 3 to 6 weeks. It did moisturize eyelashes and it seemed less brittle but no more than that. Though it is recommended for once a day use, its manufacturers did encourage additional applications. What discouraged me from using it more frequently was the lack of information about its ingredients. In the end the uncertainty of whether it is safe or not dictated the decision to go slow on its use.
I cannot really recommend a product that has failed to make the all important information about its ingredients officially available to the public. A hint of mystery is well and good but consumers should know what they’re putting on their lash lines. If this is a marketing strategy, it just fell flat on its face.

The first thing that registered about this Trish McEvoy Lash Enhancer Nighttime Conditioning Treatment was its pretty steep price. At $125, it’s way more expensive than other brands. Anyway, to cut the story short, I figured this was a great product with a stellar name behind it. A good impression really works but the lesson learned is expensive doesn’t really equal efficacy all the time. With these types of products, you’ve got to try it yourself to see if it suits your needs.
According to marketing claims, this eyelash enhancer works overnight to enhance eyelash growth and moisturize lashes. The natural aging process makes lashes brittle and sparse with all the insults heaped on it on a daily basis. For someone dreading 40, it’s just one more thing to worry about but there’s a lot of help for it. its promise to strengthen and thicken lashes was good enough at that time so why not splurge on it a bit? That was one lousy idea but it did feel good to spend quite a sum for vanity even if it didn’t pan out in the end.
Advantages of Trish McEvoy Lash Enhancer Nighttime Conditioning Treatment
To be honest, I didn’t really get around to reading its ingredients before trying it. The website said it was safe and that was it. Focusing on results, it was easy to rationalize why such an important consideration was overlooked. It’s a good thing that it really is safe, judging from the list of ingredients.
- It has many types of lash moisturizers to keep lashes from drying out
- It contains an ingredient called Disodium EDTA which makes its claim as an eyelash growth enhancer possible.
- It also has Phenoxyethanol which makes eyelashes clean and free of bacteria growth.
- Both Disodium EDTA and Phenoxyethanol are safe to use according to research.
- Convenient once a day use with easy application.
- Offers a 30 day money back guarantee if it doesn’t come up to customer expectations.
- Also works on eyebrows
Disadvantages of Trish McEvoy Lash Enhancer Nighttime Conditioning Treatment
There are several disadvantages to this product. The number one spot is a tie between the price and its poor results. In other reviews, some users claim that it is a good eyelash enhancer but my personal experience did not match these.
- It is marketed as a 90-day eyelash enhancer but offers a 30-day money back guarantee. This means that full results can’t be expected until 3 months after using the product.
- You have to be meticulous about checking for improvements if you want to get your money back after 30 days if it doesn’t work. But what if you decide to return it and miss out on its potential? It does make you think twice, doesn’t it
Overall, there wasn’t any significant improvement except for the fact that lashes look more moisturized. There may be some new growths but lashes do grow back given time. With the high price and unsatisfactory results, at least for me, I cannot recommend splurging on the Trish McEvoy Lash Enhancer Nighttime Conditioning Treatment even if it offers a 30 day money back guarantee. Spending your time trying out a better but less expensive option would be a more sensible idea.
